Summer Wedding

With it being so cold at the moment, I thought I would share this summer wedding with you. I loved being the wedding photographer for Gemma & Leo, both so happy and clearly madly in love.

The day started off with the bridal party getting ready at Gemma’s parent’s house. Lots of giggling, hair brushes everywhere, champagne popping and officially the cutest flower girl I have ever met.

The groom and his men decided they would get ready at The Red Lion Pub & Restaurant Thorpe. After watching lots of YouTube videos about how to attach buttonholes and fold pocket squares, we decided to go for a less conventional group photo.

The ceremony was held in St Mary’s Church, Thorpe and was small and romantic, but filled with laughter! I’m never going to forget how when the Vicar asked “Who presents this bride?”, the Gemma’s dad jumped up and waved his arms shouting “I do!” with the cheekiest grin on his face.

As the wedding day continued, and the temperature outside got hotter, the party really got started! Thankful there was plenty of Pimms on hand.

As the sunset, I took Gemma & Leo outside for a moment’s peace and an opportunity to practice their first dance while the sun went down.

Oh and don’t worry, the groom’s party might have had an unconventional group shot, but so did the bridal party or as they called themselves, the “Friday-Night-Crew”.
