In A Galaxy Far, Far Away
In the garden of their family home in Dorset, Zoe (she/her) and George (he/him), had an intimate and relaxed garden wedding.
And since it was May 4th, the force was strong for these two newlyweds.
Garden Wedding Ceremony
With the garden in full bloom, Zoe & George had their Celebrant Ceremony conducted by Julie The Celebrant, with readings from the bridesmaids. The ceremony was bespoke and gorgeous, with hints of mischief, perfect for our newlyweds.

Afternoon Celebrations
The afternoon celebrations commenced with canapes and drinks as the guests played lawn games and toy vintage cars.
With bees buzzing, the sound of laughter rustling through the leaves, the scent of flowers and the clinking of glasses.
Even R2D2 wore a wedding veil on the tree swing! It was among many of the Star Wars references littered throughout the wedding decorations and the perfect nod to May the 4th!

Group Photos
Fun, chaos and the creation of wonderful memories occurred as we split the group photos to make sure everyone could fit! We made sure to get some neat & polite, serious ones, before erupting into chaos and having some cheeky fun.
Spanks and garters were shown off, and even the Groom’s custom-made underwear with his new wife’s face on them were on display!
Newlyweds
Amongst the cheers and celebrations, we took a moment for George and Zoe to dance under the gazebo, surrounded by the scent of jasmine.
A moment, just for them.

Maple the Best Pawson
But there was one pawson, we had to capture: Maple, the family dog, made a star appearance for photos with the newlyweds, creating a beautiful array of photos. Maple’s excitement to celebrate their owners’ day and enthusiasm added to the memories of the day.

Lunch and Speeches
The tables were flanked with pictures of the family dogs, and had Star Wars LEGO figures. The speeches were laced with jokes about George’s past employment at Center Parcs. The wedding party had even made a hat with the Center Parcs logo on it for him to wear during lunch.
Chef Matt, from Forking Out, knocked it out of the park with a family-style BBQ lunch, perfect for these celebrations.
Cake!
George and Zoe’s main cake was Star Wars themed, featuring the bride and groom standing atop as Princess Leia and Han Solo. The cake was then flanked with delicious baked treats made by the family and friends.

Surprise Helicopter
Zoe’s Dad has developed a reputation for big surprises, and surprised everyone with helicopter rides! Flying over the Dorset countryside, and taking in the views of landmarks like Knowlton Church, the reactions of those in the helicopter were stunning. Everyone looked like true VIGs (Very Important Guests).

Jedi Tricks
Award winning magician Alfie performed some up close magic for the wedding guests. A member of the magic circle, and winner of UK Magician of the Year and the Wedding Industry Awards, Alife used his his talents resulting in many guesses on how he does that (we didn’t manage to work it out though, it’s still a mystery).
Evening Chill Out
The celebrations continued into the evening, and so did the shenanigans. We took advantage of the setting sun and took more gorgeous photos. Laughter filled the garden as pints of cider were passed around. It was the perfect evening with friends.

Dancing
As the sun went down, the lights went up! The marquee was lit up as the band started, and the dancefloor filled! The band was phenomenal and an absolute blast, the perfect way to end this celebration, dancing into the wee hours.
