This is one of those weddings that I’m going to remember for a long time and every time I’m gonna smile!
You may recognise Lisa and Darren as not only do they organise Weymouth Bike Night, but Lisa is the photographer behind Lisa Marie Photography in Weymouth. This was always going to be a fun, alternative wedding!
Surrounded in gold and black, they held the wedding at Radipole Manor in Weymouth. Lisa spent the morning getting ready, and her daughter Betsy enthusiastically helped me with my detail shots, the photo of her trying on her mum’s ring is the one that gets me!
Being a photographer herself, Lisa wanted to have fun with her wedding photos. “Let’s take some in the bath!” she beamed. You know I wasn’t going to say no to that.
The ceremony was held in the Grand Hall under the watchful eye of their son, Harry, who took his role as Ring Security as seriously as possible.
Lisa and I had swapped messages FOR MONTHS joking about how awesome Flower Dudes are. We must have tagged the Best Man in one of our conversations as just as the newlyweds were about to walk through the confetti, he appeared and happily danced down the aisle throwing confetti in the air.
This wedding was all about fun and family, so you can imagine how big of a hit the bouncy castle was! Although, it wasn’t until the day after that I realised I never got a go!
Although I don’t live in Weymouth, even I know that there is a particular legendary figure there, someone who must be visited when you go there in the summer months. You can imagine my surprise when THE Rossi icecream was there scooping some of their famous icecream. He had even brought hats for the happy couple.
The weather outside changed and guests headed inside, but this did not stop the fun and mischief as it was time for everyone to hit the dance floor! With those cheesy classic songs that we all secretly love, everyone danced the night away.
Oh! And before I have any guests ask, where is THAT photo, no, I won’t be sharing it, that is our secret
